DESCRIPTION

An estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon from Karibib in the Polkadraai Hills ward of Stellenbosch, and the first release in the farm’s estate wine range. It is made by Jozua Joubert from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the farm’s sloping granitic vineyards. The wine spent 12 months in oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months in bottle before release. It is full-bodied with ripe fruit and fine tannins. Bottled at 14%. (Bottle size 750ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Rich aromas of blackcurrant and cassis, complemented by vanilla and a refreshing hint of fresh mint.

Palate: Smooth and balanced, with vibrant cherry and currant flavours, fine-grained tannins and subtle, well-integrated oak.

Finish: Long and elegant, with lingering dark fruit, gentle oak spice and refined tannins.
