DESCRIPTION

A single cask release from Metanoia Distillery, located on a working farm in the Klein Karoo. This unpeated single malt was produced using SAB malted barley and distilled in pot stills. It was initially matured in a Rupert & Rothschild red wine cask before being transferred in late 2024 to an Oloroso sherry cask—which had previously matured Oloroso for 50 years, rather than merely being seasoned—for a finish of just over 20 months. Only 194 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a higher strength of 56.5%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Following the recent launch of Metanoia’s two signature whiskies, we were excited to work with distillery founder Kenny Scheepers and SA whisky icon Andy Watts to select an exclusive single cask for WhiskyBrother. This bottling reflects the passion and perseverance required to build something meaningful from the ground up. We are proud to share it and look forward to seeing what the future holds for Metanoia.
