A limited release from the Glen Scotia distillery in Campbeltown, launched in 2025 as part of the distillery’s Icons of Campbeltown series. The Wolf is the third of five annual limited editions celebrating the resilience and independent spirit of Campbeltown. Inspired by the Wulver, a guardian spirit—half wolf, half man—symbolising strength, kindness, and compassion, and said to watch over local communities. This unpeated single malt was matured for 12 years in American oak casks before being finished for 9 months in Tawny Port casks. As with the previous releases, the packaging was designed by renowned artist Joel Holtzman, known for his work with Marvel, Disney, and Lucasfilm. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured, and bottled at a higher batch strength of 51.7%. (Bottle size 750ml.)
Nose: Juicy forest fruits, candied nuts and crisp red apple, all wrapped in indulgent caramel sweetness.
Palate: Layers of dried fig and orange peel unfold alongside smooth praline, offering both richness and balance.
Finish: Dark cocoa and dried fruits linger beautifully, complemented by gentle vanilla and warming oak spice.
