DESCRIPTION

A small batch release from independent bottler Adelphi, distilled at the Caol Ila distillery on Islay, released in the Adelphi Regional Series which was released to mark 30 years of Adelphi. Matured in a combination of first-fill sherry and bourbon casks. 1,800 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally colour and bottled at 46%. 

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Bold and maritime. Greasy fishing trawler, gammon, smoked kippers, salted caramel, Swedish licorice, and a hint of a glowing cigar tip.

Palate: Earthy and smoky - freshly turned sod, a dirty wheelbarrow, hoisin, black cherry, hickory-smoked brisket, and chipotle.

Finish: Round, full-bodied, and assertively smoky.
