This single grain whisky is the first in a series of annual limited releases from the Cooper's Collection Cask Finish series from Master Blender, Michael Henry. Distilled using 100% malted barley in Loch Lomond's continuous "coffey" still, this limited-release has married predominantly 7 year old whisky with a small portion of 12 year old, matured exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and finished for 6 months in handcrafted Mizunara Japanese oak casks. 3,000 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 50%.
Nose: Rose, honeysuckle, blackcurrant and toasted oak.
Palate: Sweet spice character with apple, sandalwood and honey.
Finish: Long dry finish, with oak and warming cinnamon spice.
