A single cask release from the Akkeshi distillery in Hokkaido, Japan, by independent bottler Adelphi. Distilled in 2018, matured for 3 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel and bottled in 2023. Only 253 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.8%.

Nose: Malt biscuit, green mezcal, sourdough, maize crisps, tomato vine.

Palate: Mesquite, wholewheat oatcakes, horseradish, toasted sesame, wet tobacco, ham hock, billowing smoke.

Finish: Long, soft and briny.
