Released as part of the limited edition Milk & Honey Art & Craft series of single malts aged in ex-beer casks. The Stout Beer Cask edition was distilled on 11 July 2019, matured for 3 years in ex-stout beer barrels from Malka Brewery (Israel's largest craft brewery) and bottled on 21 July 2022. A total of 975 bottles were produced, with only 150 available in South African exclusively through us (thus our logo on these bottles). Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 54%.

Nose: Indulgent chocolate milk spiced with nutmeg, accompanied by baked pear.

Palate: Coffee and clotted cream topped with grated hazelnuts.

Finish: Peach cobbler and fresh spearmint, gentle allspice notes.

The Art & Craft series showcases Milk & Honey's ongoing experimentation with non-traditional casks. Four years ago they approached six different local breweries, and together with each brew master, selected beers to mature in M&H whisky casks. After six months to a year, once the beers had been bottled M&H took back the empty barrels and matured their single malt spirit in these barrels for three years.

An Absolute Stunner!

"Another total WB hit, this time out of the ballpark! I adore Milk & Honey and their approach to Whisky making. I have yet to have a bottle from their stables which I haven’t enjoyed. This is something different yet still so enjoyable. The cask influence truly shows with hoppy, roasted and dark malty notes weaving wonderfully with the classic Milk and Honey fruity spirit. The perfect amount of spice on the finish and the dangerously drinkable ABV make this a truly stellar new world dram to take your time with and enjoy. Superb!"
