DESCRIPTION

Grande Château is the latest release in Glenfiddich's Grand series, a collection of single malts that includes Glenfiddich 23yo Grand Cru, Glenfiddich Gran Reserva and Glenfiddich 29yo Grand Yozakura. Although a standard release, only a limited number are produced each year. 

Matured for 31 years, initially in American and European oak before being finished for 9 years in French Bordeaux red wine casks, a first for the Speyside distillery. Created in partnership with internationally renowned French graffiti artist André Saraiva (aka Monsieur/Mr André), display boxes feature Saraiva’s signature character, Mr. A, wandering through the vineyards of the scenic Toile de Jouy landscape. A limited release with only 300 bottles available in South Africa. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 47.3%.

OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES

Nose: Warm cocooning vanilla, ripe cassis berry, piquant nutty aromas.

Palate: Slow-caramelised cherries and apples, warming spice and toasted oak.

Finish: Lasting depth and character.
