The Macallan Edition No. 6 is the final release in the annual Edition series. Like preceding releases, it continues the exploration into Macallan's approach to whisky making. Taking inspiration from the natural wonders of the legendary River Spey and The Macallan Estate, whisky maker Steven Bremner chose five cask styles that would embody the unique stories found there, with the final result a combination of American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks. Naturally coloured and bottled at 48.6%. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Rich fresh fruits, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, toffee, vanilla, and oak.
Palate: Plum and sweet orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, balanced oak, toffee, and oats.
Finish: Long fresh fruit with spices turning to creamy chocolate and toasted oats.
