DESCRIPTION
A single cask release from the Benrinnes distillery in Speyside, by independent bottler Hunter Laing in their First Editions range. Distilled in 2007 and matured for 16 years in a refill hogshead before bottling. Only 234 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 48%.
OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES
Nose: Strong toffee notes on the nose with hints of highland heather and red fruits.
Palate: The palate is meaty, yet fruity, with a kick of pepper throughout.
Finish: The finish is both gripping and tongue-tingling and the pepper note lasts long on the palate thereafter.
